Are you looking for some religious reading that won’t take too much time away from your work and play? How about 1-2 minutes of Bible reading three times a week in your email inbox? Beginning January 20, you can plan to see a short, yet important Bible quote with a brief paragraph of explanation sent right to your email. You will receive quotes from each of the books of the Bible, though the lengthier and more meaningful books will be the source for more quotes. The idea is for you to learn more Scripture and study the fuller context for that section or chapter if you wish. You can also send any questions you may have. Whether you’ve had extensive study of the Bible or are new to Scripture study, the quotes should enable you to become acquainted with some of important sections of the Bible. As always, the Catholic interpretation of any passage will be given. These will usually be sent out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays by Phil Chenier, a parishioner at SEAS, who has had many years of training and experience teaching Bible studies. Quotes will continue through 2021.
Simply email Phil at cheniepj@comcast.net and put Bible Quotes on the subject line. Please do this by March 1.
You can opt out of the emails at any time if you notify him. Thank you for your interest. You can look forward to great content and going deeper into your Catholic faith!

A cenacle is a discussion group. These cenacles study the diary of St. Faustina Kowalska and associated passages in the Bible and the Catechism. One group meets Thursday mornings from 8:30-10:30 a.m. and the other meets Friday afternoons from 1-3:00 p.m. Participants need St. Faustina's diary as well as a formation manual, both of which can be obtained through the parish office. Interested in joining one of these great groups? Please contact Fr. Matt at mshireman@seasparish.org or Jill Skaife at jskaife@seasparish.org. Back to top.
FORMED is the revolutionary digital platform that gives our parish unprecedented access to video-based study programs, feature films, audio presentations, and eBooks from the Church’s foremost presenters.
All men are invited to join The King's Men, a Catholic men's formation and accountability group that meets weekly to pray, to do spiritual reading and discussion, and to be held accountable. The King's men are concerned with growing in holiness and virtue in order to become better leaders, protectors and providers. There simply is no substitute along the masculine journey for quality brotherhood and support. Proverbs 27:17 says, "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." We meet Thursday evenings from 8:00 - 9:30 p.m. in the St Boniface room.

This is a great opportunity for the men of our parish to get together and share opinions and beverages with other family providers, protectors, and parish leaders. There's no need to register. Fr. We will resume meetings after COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, or RCIA, is a communal process for formal initiation of new members into the Catholic Church. Catechumens are those people who are seeking full initiation into the Catholic Church through all of the Sacraments of Initiation – Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation. Candidates are people who have been baptized in a Christian tradition but are seeking initiation into the Catholic Church through Eucharist and Confirmation. RCIA is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation with specific liturgical rites for seekers and inquirers. Contact Mary Ellen Kenney to join this program that meets Tuesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the St. Francis room. You can begin at any time in the process. All are welcome!
We have resumed meetings.
Testimony from a current member of the group:
"I look forward to my weekly Scripture Study group as these congenial and gratifying times have strengthened and enlightened my Catholic faith journey. Through books and videos by various Scripture scholars we have studied many topics including the Mass, the Eucharist, women of the Bible, many saints, and meditative readings in Advent and Lent. Most of these studies included references to Scripture passages.
I especially enjoy learning of the many events prefigured or foreshadowed in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament. These have given me a greater insight and appreciation of the Scriptures."
We have resumed meetings.
